Badum, Director of Public Works /City Engineer Subject: RESOLUTION FOR CIRCULATION ELEMENT — MEASURE M ELIGIBILITY SUMMARY OF REQUEST The proposed action will pass a resolution approving the submittal of a resolution concerning the status of the City's circulation element. DISCUSSION: Each year the City must submit an application in order to maintain eligibility to receive Measure M funding from OCTA. A bi- yearly requirement of the application for Measure M Streets and Roads turnback funds requires that Cities shall adopt: • A General Plan Circulation Element that is consistent with the Master Plan of Arterial Highways, and, • A valid City Council Resolution attesting that no unilateral reduction in lanes has been made on any MPAH arterials. The proposed action will satisfy application requirements. FISCAL IMPACT If the City does not pass the resolution, the City will be in jeopardy of losing Measure M funding.
