Badum, Director of Public Works/City Engineer Subject: APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, & ESTIMATES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEAL BEACH BOULEVARD TRAFFIC SIGNAL COORDINATION, PROJECT NO. 751 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The proposed City Council action will approve the plans, specifications, and estimates and authorize Staff to initiate the bidding process so that a contract may be awarded for the construction of the Seal Beach Boulevard Traffic Signal Coordination, Project #751. Due to a savings resulting from development mitigation, signals on Lampson Avenue and Westminster Avenue will also be included in this project. This project is fully funded under the Measure M, Signal Improvement Program. The second project will tie all of the signals together in a local network that will enable centralized control, coordination, and networking via state of the art computer programming. This project is scheduled for FY 2000/01 and is also fully funded under Measure M. The plans and specifications were completed by City staff and W.G. Zimmerman Engineering.
