Thank you. Schelly 1 Questions for 12/10/18 City Council Meeting Sustarsic Warrants: Check#8745 HF&H Consultants for SS Negotiations -Oct 2018 $13,000 What is this for? To perform a solid waste contract profile to evaluate the existing solid waste franchise agreement. Check#8784,to South Coast AQMD for Settlement Agreement-Generator at SBPD $1,500 Is this the total cost of the Settlement Agreement? Yes as per City Attorney. B. Measure BB: Supplemental Police Officer Staffing and Funding: The staff report states this is an immediate need? The council allocated up to$40,000 for the Police Services Study. Why not let up see this first, before voting to approve more officers? We now have 2 vacancies in PD. When do we expect to fill these 2 vacancies? Will our officer that has been loaned to the school district to serve as a temporary SRO be returning soon? When do you expect to hire these 3 new officers (timeline)? Will they be basic officers? A corporal? Do you plan to hire laterals? Younger officers (Pepra)? What other additional costs will be necessary for these 3 officers (i.e. vehicles, etc)? Will these officers have specific assignments (such as police substation, Leisure World) and if so, what additional costs will that result in? How will we pay for those? ***Staff will address this item at the Council meeting tonight. Item H: iPad Policy Are the bookmarks and notes I place on an ipad viewable only to me?The bookmarks and notes are only viewable to you as an individual user. What is the annual charge for services from PrimeGov?The annual cost for all system components is$8,500. With the new paperless system, will the public have online access to the agenda packet at the same time as the Council (or will there be a delay)? Yes. Currently,the public has access to the agenda online as soon as staff publishes the document. Why does the proposed Policy commit/limit the City to just one tablet manufacturer(i.e.,Apple)? The intent of the Policy is not to commit/limit the City to just one tablet manufacturer. Item L. Fleet replacement: Is excess from Tidelands fund paying toward other vehicles? No. Expenditures are paid from the Vehicle Replacement Fund. Item 0. ADUs: At the Planning Commission meeting, there was discussion about limiting the maximum size of an ADU to 800 sq. ft. Are we not allowed to do this? Apparently some other cities have put limits between 640 and 800 sq. ft. How would one see if there is a car share vehicle within a block of an ADU? ***Staff will address this item at the Council meeting tonight. Item P. Street vendors Trash cans for both roaming and stationary vendors? Does the roaming vendor have to pick up trash nearby or left on ground? What are the required liability insurance amounts? The staff report says that the city has not granted concessions for sale of food on the beach or parks. Does the lease on the 1st Street Restaurant qualify as a concession? ***Staff will address this item at the Council meeting tonight.
