SEAL BEACH HISTORICAL SOCIETY ANNOUNCES PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS
Two Seal Beach residents took top prizes in the Seal Beach
Historical and Cultural Society' s fourth annual Amateur Photo
Contest.
Liisa( cq) Kyle took first prize and won a $50 gift
certificate donated by PC 30:Min Photo. Michael Mundy won second
place and was awarded a camera bag with photo accessories donated
by Seal Beach Camera. Both businesses are in Seal Beach.
Kyle ' s winning black-and-white photo shows the Seal Beach
pier featuring a lone fisherman. The photo is titled, "Seal Beach
Freedom. " Kyle said the expresses "a moment of joyful living,
capturing the spirit of our Seal Beach community. "
Mundy' s black-and-white photo also highlights the Seal Beach
pier. His entry is titled, "Relax. "
The theme for the photo contest was "Visions of Seal Beach
. . . Through the Lens, " and photographers were asked to capture
their favorite "vision" or scene of Seal Beach.
The winning photo will be on display in City Hall and in the
historic Red Car Museum along with all entries later this month.
All photos are now the property of the historical society
and are a part of the city' s historical record.
