Subject: STATUS REPORT- SUBSTANDARD PROPERTY
112 EIGHTH STREET
SUMMARY OF REQUEST
Receive and File Status Report.
DISCUSSION
On October 25, 1999, the City Council held a public hearing regarding the subject property and
declared the property a public nuisance. Since that time the property has been secured and maintained
in an acceptable manner by the property owner.
The property is currently in escrow, which is anticipated to close in approximately 60 days. The
owners-in-escrow have indicated the existing structure will be demolished and two new residential
structures will be constructed.
Upon the close of escrow and the demolition of the existing structure, staff will provide a close-out
Staff Report on this property for the information of the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
None. Staff costs were incurred in preparing the public nuisance matter for consideration by the City
Council.
