Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 4059 1991-06-11 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, RESOLUTION NUMBER ~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH ON THE 4TH DAY OF JUNE, 1991, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF, AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. I a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Seal Beach, County of Orange, State of California, on Tuesday, the 4th day of June, 1991, as required by Ordinance Number 1326 of the City of Seal Beach, California:' and notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time, form, and manner as provided by law: that voting precincts were properly established, that election officers were appointed: and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed, and the returns made and declared in time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Election Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general law and charter cities: and I pursuant to Resolution Number 4012, adopted the 25th day of February, 1991, the City Clerk of the City of Seal Beach canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council, said results are received, attached, and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A." NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2. That there were nineteen (19) voting precincts established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City of Seal Beach, California, as established for the holding of State and County elections. That said Special Municipal Election was called by Ordinance Number 1326 to be held on said date to submit to the voters the following measures: I Measure A-9l Shall the Hellman Ranch Specific YES Plan Initiative Ordinance calling for 329 single family residential units, 26 acres of parkland, and 41.4 acres of wetlands, be adopted? NO I I I Section 3. Section 4. Section 5. Resolution Number ~~ Measure B-9l Advisorv Vote Onlv In the event Measure A-9l on this ballot (the Hellman Ranch Specific Plan Initiative Ordinance) does not receive a majority vote, should the City adopt a specific plan for the Hellman Ranch calling for a public golf course, parkland, recreational areas, wetlands, and a combination of the following elements to be located only in areas to be seismically safe for habitable structures: country club, restaurant, conference center, retail, or small scale hotel? This is an advisory measure that is not finding on the City Council. That the whole number of ballots cast in said City, except absent voter ballots, was 8212. YES NO That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said City was 1774, making a total of 9986 ballots cast in the City. That the Measures voted upon at election are as follows: Measure A-9l Shall the Hellman Ranch Specific Plan Initiative Ordinance calling for 329 single family residential units, 26 acres of parkland, and 41.4 acres of wetlands, be adopted? YES NO Measure 8-91 Advisorv Vote Onlv In the event Measure A-91 on this ballot (the Hellman Ranch Specific Plan Initiative Ordinance) does not receive a majority vote, should the City adopt a specific plan for the Hellman Ranch calling for a public golf course, parkland, recreational areas, wetlands, and a combination of the following elements to be located only in areas to be seismically safe for habitable structures: country club, restaurant, conference center, retail, or small scale hotel? This is an advisory measure that is not finding on the City Council. YES NO That as a result of said election, a majority of the voters voting on Measure A-9l did not vote in favor of it, and the Measure was not carried, and shall not be deemed adopted and ratified; That as a result of said election, a majority of the voters voting on Measure B-9l did not vote in favor of it, and the Measure was not carried, and shall not be deemed adopted and ratified.
