HomeMy WebLinkAboutSupplemental Questions from Council Member Varipapa1 Gloria Harper From:Patrick Gallegos Sent:Monday, October 28, 2019 12:07 PM To:Executive Team Subject:RE: October 28, 2019 City Council Agenda BCC:  CITY COUNCIL    Good morning,    Councilmember Varipapa asked the following question and staff’s response is in red:  For Item H, can you please explain  the limits of work along Bolsa Avenue and whether or not more work will be done in the future. Also, how does this  compare to the 2018 Pavement Management Plan.   In the 2018 PMP most of the arterial roadways recommended are currently being postponed due to other agency  projects in the area that will impact the paving surfaces in the near future such as: Lampson and parts of Seal Beach Blvd due to the 405 Widening project, parts of Seal Beach Blvd due to planned OCSD sewer work, parts of 1st Street due to  Ocean Place development, and parts of Marina due to both Ocean Place Development work and a potential future SD  project.      In the 2016 report, Bolsa Ave from PCH to Balboa was recommended for resurfacing.  Given the considerations stated  above and this year’s allotted budget, we can accommodate Bolsa as a stand‐alone paving project should Council  approve.    In regards to the limits, the Bolsa Avenue paving limits are from the Balboa Drive (including the intersection) to just  north of PCH.  The pavement limit north of PCH is being coordinated with Caltrans’ PCH pavement rehabilitation project  pavement limits planned for this intersection.    Thanks,    Patrick Gallegos, Assistant City Manager City of Seal Beach - 211 Eighth Street, Seal Beach, CA 90740 (562) 431-2527 Ext. 1308 Civility Principles: 1.
