RESOLUTION NUMBER ~~/~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN
OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT
REGARDING A CHARTER AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held in the City
of Seal Beach, California, on June 5, 1990, at which
there will be submitted to the qualified electors of
the City the following Charter Amendment:

Charter Amendment
Shall Section 402 of the Charter of the City of
Seal Beach be amended to read:
"Compensation. Compensation for
the members of the City Council
shall be established by ordinance
in accordance with provisions of
Section 36516 and 365l6.5 of the
State of California Government
Code as such provisions now exist
or may thereafter be amended.
Each member of the City Council
shall receive reimbursement for
Council authorized expenses in
accordance with provisions of
Section 365l4.5 and 3720l through
37205 of the State of California
Government Code."?

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH,
CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
I
Section l.
That this City Council, being the legislative body
of the City of Seal Beach, authorizes
Victor Grgas, Mayor
Edna Wilson, Mayor ProTem
Joe Hunt, Councilmember
Frank Laszlo, Councilmember
Joyce Risner, Councilmember
as members of that body, to file a written
argument in favor of the Charter Amendment set
forth in the above recital in accordance with
Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Election
Code of the State of California and to change the
argument until and including the date fixed by the I.
City Clerk after which no arguments for or against
the Charter Amendment may be submitted to the City
Clerk.
Section 2.
That the City Council directs the City Clerk to
transmit a copy of the measure to the City
Attorney, who shall prepare an impartial analysis
of the measure showing the effect of the measure
on the existing law and the operation of the
measure. The impartial analysis shall be filed by
the date set by the City Clerk for the filing of
primary arguments.
