A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
PLACEMENT OF AN OFFICE TRAILER IN CONJUNCTION
WITH AN EXISTING NURSERY GREENHOUSE LOCATED
WITHIN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON RIGHT-
OF-WAY (11 COLLEGE PARK DRIVE, SEAL BEACH)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH HEREBY RESOLVES:

WHEREAS, on January 22, 1990, Council granted approval for
construction of a nursery greenhouse by S-Y Nursery
within the Southern California Edison Right-of-Way,
zoned Public Land Use (PLU) at 11 College Park Drive,
Seal Beach; and
WHEREAS, S-Y Nursery is requesting placement of an office
trailer to be sited at the southerly end of the
proposed greenhouse adjacent to the San Gabriel River
levee; and
WHEREAS, the proposed trailer would measure approximately l2
feet by 55 feet and be approximately 10 feet tall; and
WHEREAS, the proposed trailer will be lower than the greenhouse
and located generally in line with the greenhouse, it
should pose less of a visual obstruction to neighboring
residents than the greenhouse and will not adversely
affect adjacent properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Seal Beach does hereby approve the placement of an office
trailer within the Southern California Edison right-of-way
subject to the following conditions:
1. The proposed office trailer shall be placed on the westerly
side of the right-of-way, adjacent to the east levee of the
San Gabriel River with the ultimate location of the trailer
subject to the review and approval of the Director of
Development Services.

2. The proposed office trailer shall be subject to the review
and approval of the Department of Development Services prior
to installation.
3. The proposed office trailer shall be used for office
purposes only and may not be used for habitation.
4. The proposed office trailer shall be adequately screened
from view along the structure's eastern side facing the
residences in College Park West; said screen to be comprised
of existing for-sale trees located within the nursery and
subject to the review and approval of the Director of
Development Services.
6.
The placement of proposed office trailer and all utility
hook-ups shall be subject to the review and approval of the
Department of Development Services and shall adhere to all
applicable State requirements.
The proposed office trailer shall not exceed 55 feet in
length and 12 feet in width, height not to exceed height of
adjacent greenhouse.
