SAFETY ALERT -NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19
On March 4,2020,Governor Newsom proclaimed a State of Emergency in California as
a result of the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19).Pursuant to Governor
Newsom’s Executive Order N-25-20,issued on March 12,2020,Seal Beach City
Council Members and staff may participate in this meeting via a teleconference.In the
interest of maintaining appropriate social distancing,members of the public may
participate in the meeting electronically or in person.
If you wish to attend the City Council meeting in person,the City Council Chamber
located at 211 8th Street,Seal Beach,CA 90740,will be open for this meeting and the
public shall have the right to observe and offer public comment at this location.
While you may attend this meeting in person,given the health risks associated with
COVID-19,please be advised that you may submit comments on this agenda item by
emailing the City Clerk at gharper@sealbeachca.gov.You may also view the meeting
live on local cable channel 3 and online
at https://www.sealbeachca.gov/Government/Agendas-Notices-Meeting-Videos/Council-
Commission-Meetings.Additionally,you may participate via teleconference by calling
323-553-1010,followed by Access Code 559 123 738#.No other business shall be
considered.
Please consider carefully before attending this meeting in person and keep a six foot
distance from others as much as possible.Please do not attend this meeting in person
if you have traveled internationally,particularly to China,Italy,Iran,Japan,South Korea,
Taiwan,and/or you have had direct contact with someone who has traveled to those
places or tested positive for COVID-19,or you are experiencing symptoms such as
coughing,sneezing,fever,difficulty breathing or other flu-like symptoms.
If you are in the group of individuals who may be most vulnerable to COVID-19,
including those over the age of 60 and those with underlying health conditions,including
but not limited to lung,heart,immune-compromised,diabetes,or other conditions that
could interfere with your ability to fight COVID-19,please consider carefully before
attending this meeting in person and keep a six-foot distance from others as much as
possible.

At this time members of the public may address the Council regarding items on the
agenda.Pursuant to the Brown Act,the Council cannot discuss or take action on any
items not on the agenda unless authorized by law.Matters not on the agenda may,at
the Council's discretion,be referred to the City Manager and placed on a future
agenda.
Those members of the public wishing to speak are asked to come forward to the
microphone and state their name for the record.All speakers will be limited to a period
of five (5)minutes.Speakers must address their comments only to the Mayor and entire
City Council,and not to any individual,member of the staff or audience.Any documents
for review should be presented to the City Clerk for distribution.
