●This weekend marked the change in beach
hours: ●Was Monday-Thursday from Dawn to Dusk ●Now: Seven Days – 4:30 AM to 10:00 PM
●In preparation for beach reopening we
fielded C.O.P. Team and Alcohol-Detail
Officers due to complaints of people
drinking in public
●Multiple citizen contacts, education, and
passing on of information. No citations are
arrests related to the beach or reopening.

California Stage Two Reopening:
●No parking issues in the beach lots.
●Several citations issued:

COVID-19 Testing and Screening (Essential Workers Only)
●Testing Sites For:
●Symptomatic AND asymptomatic health care workers, first
responders, social service workers and other essential workers
who have been unable to get tested through their health care
providers or employers
●Four sites for testing services in Orange County located in the
cities of Buena Park, Orange, Santa Ana and San Juan
Capistrano, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
APPOINTMENT REQUIRED
●Appointments can be made and location details confirmed, by
visiting https://lhi.care/covidtesting or calling 1 (888) 634-1123.
Please note that phone registration will only be used for people
without internet access.

offered at the OptumServe Test Sites;
so it is recommended that people with
symptoms should contact their
medical provider or, if they do not
have a provider, go to a clinic listed on
the OC COVID-19 Testing Network

virus.

REOPENING OF SEAL BEACH BUSINESSES
•On 5/23, State approved County of Orange’s plan to accelerate local businesses into Stage 2.
•Following businesses are allowed to conditionally reopen:
•In-person dining
•Retail shopping
•Manufacturing
•Offices (when telework is not possible)
•Outdoor Museums
•Limited Services
•State has provided guidance documents available at www.covid19.ca.gov/industry-guidance
REOPENING OF SEAL BEACH BUSINESSES ●Earlier today, Governor announced allowance for barbershops and hair
salons to reopen in Counties that have received state approval.
●State has also provided a guidance document for these business types.
●Nail salons, gyms, bars, movie theaters, community facilities are still not
allowed to reopen.
●Governor announced more information coming later in the week.
Face Covering Requirements
●Suggest amending our Local Order to mirror the recently release OC Health Order:
○Cloth Face-Covering. All Orange County residents and visitors shall wear a cloth face-covering when
■(i) in a public place;
■(ii) visiting a retail, commercial or other place of business; or
■(iii) at work, and when the resident or visitor is not able to maintain at least 6 feet of
AND
■and when the resident or visitor is not able to maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance from another
person who is not a family/household member or live in the same living unit.
○A cloth face-covering is a material that covers the nose and mouth; it can be secured to the head with ties or straps
or simply wrapped around the lower face; it can be made of a variety of materials, such as cotton, silk, or linen; and
a face covering may be factory-made or sewn by hand, or can be improvised from household items such as scarfs, T-
shirts, sweatshirts, or towels.
○The cloth face-covering order SHALL NOT APPLY to children under the age of 2; anyone who has trouble
breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face -covering without
assistance; persons with a medical or mental health condition, or development disability, that prevents wearing a
cloth face-covering.
