Funding Available Funding Source Pass-Thru Agency Award Amount FEMA Public Assistance CalOES 75% of eligible expenses CARES Act County of Orange $562,803 CARES Act County of Orange $204,020 CARES Act State of California $308,580 CDBG County of Orange $50,302 3 FEMA Public Assistance Grant - CalOES 4 No limit on the reimbursement amount Reimburses 75% of eligible costs Allowable expenses include: Overtime PPE Sanitizing Cost of facility closures Signage for social distancing Most restrictive of all funding sources CARES Act – County of Orange 5 Two separate grants $562,803 for Small Business Grant Program $204,020 for COVID-19 related necessary costs Allowable expenses are similar to FEMA Also allows economic support and technology costs County placed additional restrictions on funds Intended to fund the 25% not covered by FEMA Must be spent by December 30, 2020 CARES Act – State of California 6 $308,580 for COVID-related necessary expenses Allowable expenses are dictated by the CARES Act with no additional restrictions State is assisting with interpretations that help local governments cover additional costs Least restrictive of all funding sources Must be spent by October 30, 2020 CDBG-CV – County of Orange 7 $50,302 for temporary outdoor dining program Allowable expenses include: Dining tables Restrooms and hand washing stations Staffing costs Other materials and supplies Agreement is being worked on with the County and this will likely come to City Council for ratification at a future meeting. CONCLUSION 8 $613,105 for small business programs – goes directly into the community $512,600 CARES Act funding to pay for City costs Additional FEMA funds with no limit to pay for 75% of qualifying expenses
