I do not know if they did or did not respond, but want to put forth that if they did not respond that I ask the City to move forward as quickly as possible with whatever "next steps" should be forthcoming. There are hundreds of us in this community that are holding our breath and waiting for their "next shoe to drop", mostly we are highly concerned not just about the poor quality work that is being wrecked on the Red Car at this time (the paint job is so poor, and the "repair " of the rotting wood is not "restoration quality". They are using sub-standard quality that when this is all done will have to be stripped down and redone. But more, we are highly concerned with their possibly pulling and taking the historical artifacts out of the Red Car and holding them hostage. The Antos are proving to be highly unstable and unwilling to work within what is legally required of them to step down and turn of the leadership of this organization. My personal interactions with them have shown them to functioning for themselves and that they honestly believe that they personally "own" the Society (and ultimately the Red Car). They continue to try to hide behind the current pandemic but it has nothing to do with this situation. There are many ways that they could have held a members' meeting and election months ago as requested by the 58 members and life members in August. If they have not responded, or not responded that they will abide by the City contract demands, I urgently request that you take the next steps legally laid out and necessary to put an end to this situation and get responsive and responsible citizens on board quickly before we lose more time. Thank you for listening and hopefully doing what is needed. I am happy to speak electronically at Council if that is possible.
