Why is the Revenue estimate for swimming pool rentals so much higher this year? We
have had an increase in the pool rentals from swim clubs. We have one-time revenue
from one swim club and now we have a facility use agreement with another swim club
that averages $3,000 per month. This is expected to continue. In addition, another
swim club has expressed interest and they are currently discussing facility rental
options with Marine Safety staff.
The staff report for Item G indicates that some of the expenses are applicable to
Measure BB. Do we have a specific estimated amount? Is this for PT Lifeguards and
why will it come from Measure BB rather than the General Fund? The PD reorg costs
and lifeguard costs are all eligible for Measure BB funding. It is uncertain at this time
if Measure BB revenues will be used or if other General Fund sources will be needed,
however, regardless, these all reside in the General Fund.
