City of Seal Beach - Kiosk CRADLEPOINT / ROLLING HOT SPOTS IMPLEMENTATION • Cradlepoint technology will enable mobile data connectivity between vehicles and remote locations. • This will ensure that all laptops, electronic citation writers, license plate readers, and body worn and fleet cameras are interoperable throughout the City. �,r OFFICE 365 • Office 365 has been implementation for all City of Seal Beach personnel. • This will enable cloud -based storage and g WN x M access for emails, shared files, and additional technology updates. 00 • City employees have remote access to resources including email, word processing, and other features. • This makes working remotely easier with the most up-to-date technology. 0x..11 N� A� Pa PARKING ENFORCEMENT UPGRADES • Parking Enforcement Upgrades Include: o Electronic Citation Writers & Printers ■ Ability to stream live video feed to mobile command post, emergency operations center, and dispatch center o Mobile License Plate Readers affixed to parking control vehicles o Online Parking Permit System ■ City of Seal Beach parking enforcement system has become the flagship parking system for many other Southern California cities 'Y •ZFAgA 10:00 9 " r CLOUD BASED STORAGE & DEPLOYMENT • Police Department files such as records, body worn camera files, fleet camera recordings, electronic citations, and other electronic files are no longer stored locally on PD servers. Files are now stored in the cloud with heightened security. • This has greatly streamlined records requests, court discovery, processing of citations, and access to digital evidence. BODY WORN CAMERAS (BWC) • Body Worn Cameras have be( and issued to all field personr investigators. • They have proven invaluable evidence, streaming live feed providing an unbiased record incident, and protecting office citizens from allegations of m • This overall increases trust an transparency of the Police De (o FLEET CAMERAS • Fleet Cameras record from the patrol car's MW front window and will capture traffic violations, pursuits, and other evidence as seen from the driver's perspective. • Cameras also record the rear arrestee area. • Cameras have been installed in all black and white police patrol vehicles. • Cameras provide valuable evidence for court proceedings and protect officers and community from allegations of misconduct. TASER SYSTEM UPGRADE • SBPD has purchased 45 new TASERs. They have been assigned to: o All sworn officers and supervisors o Senior CSOs during custody operations • Backend deployment, activation, and training is cloud -based. • These are integrated with body worn an( fleet camera systems. EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER • City's Emergency Operations Center has been upgraded to included: o Smart TV o Camera/Microphone for online meetings o Television Bank with live stream capabilities o Digital Projectors o Laptops o Radios o Centralized location for monitoring video feeds throughout the city during critical incidents, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY POLICY • As technology improvements are implemented, the IT Security Policy also must be updated. This includesi o Dual Factor Authentication o Security Testing and Training ( STAT) o Server Room Security o Security enhancements to remote access Network Security Policy Template VOICE OVER IP TELEPHONE SYSTEM • City-wide Voice over Internet Protocol system o Increased reliability and uptime of City-wide VoIP system o Cost savings with transition of better and less expensive system (removal of one dedicated internet line). o New features include paging system, phone routing and conference calls, INTERIOR DRONES • Can be used for: • 0 0 0 Clearing inside buildings without putting officers at unnecessary risk Providing live feed to multiple users and supervisors Provide tactical advantage over suspects and potentially lessen the likelihood for violent confrontations Differ from outside drones in the fact that they are more durable and can bounce off walls and fly in a more compact area. VENDORS & RESOURCES CONSOLIDATION • Streamline and eliminate unnecessary contracts with multiple vendors providing the same services. • Results in a significant cost savings and increases efficiency. VIGILANT S L U T 1 N S �� AXON AUTOMATED LICENSE PLATE READER • • Ll SBPD will install automated license plate readers at multiple intersections throughout the city. This system simply takes photographs of the rear license plate of vehicles which drive through intersections.
