Analysis
1. The strict application of development standards would create a
hardship.
2. SBMC (§11.5.20.005.C) gives the Planning Commission authority to
grant a Variance.
3. The strict application of the City's distance requirements would create
an undue hardship
4. The applicant's request is consistent with other residential zones as
the proposal includes providing hardscape and landscaped privacy
barriers that are compliant with the provisions of the zoning code.
Recommended Action
• Staff recommends that the Planning Commission
adopt Resolution No. 21-16 approving VAR 21-1
