HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 7275 2022-04-25 RESOLUTION 7275 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL AWARDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE ORDER TO VALVERDE CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE COLLEGE PARK WEST METER VAULT WHEREAS, On February 24, 2022, the City issued a solicitation for proposals from the three of the City's on-call emergency utilities repair contractors in assisting the City in the rehabilitation of the College Park West Water Meter Facility. WHEREAS, On March 11, 2022 Staff received a bid in response to the solicitation for proposals, and Valverde Construction, Inc. submitted a quote in the amount of $62,272.14 for the site; and, WHEREAS, Valverde Construction, Inc. is a qualified firm to perform the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project. SECTION 2. Based on the recitals set forth above, the City Council hereby awards a public works purchase order to Valverde Construction, Inc. for the Project in the not-to-exceed amount of $62,272.14. SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute the public works purchase order on behalf of the City.
