Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 3787 1988-06-06 RESOLUTION NUMBER ~?B1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE COMMUNITY SWI~IING POOL AND FOR THE CITY'S AQUATIC RECREATION AND INSTRUCTION PROGRAM, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NUMBER 3555 I The City Council of the City of Seal Beach does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. a) b) c) Community Swimming Pool - Summer Schedule Recreation Swimming Monday through Friday Saturday Thursday - Family Night 12:45 12:00 7:30 p.m. p.m. p.m. to 2:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission Fees for Recreation Swimming: Children 17 years of age and under Adults 18 years of age and over Family Night: Regular fees for maximum of $2.00 $ .75 per session $1.25 per session recreation swimming with per family Adult Swimming Monday and Wednesday Tuesday Sunday Monday through Friday 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Admission by Swim Pass: $1.25/swim I Swimming Instruction 1) Classes ~~45 minutes duration 2) Instruction fees for residents of city - $20.00 3) Instruction fees for non-residents of city - $30.00 d) Competitive Swimming Instruction For qualified members of the Seal Beach Swim Team. $.75 per day shall entitle the member to participate in the scheduled competitive workouts, Monday through Friday, each .,,' session. to be approximately 1 1/2 hours. Any other qualified .... Person attending said competitive workouts shall pay the , daily fee set forth in Section 1 (a). Section 2. Community Swimming Pool - Winter Schedule a) Recreation Swimming The pool shall be open during school spring vacation and Saturday, weather permitting, with admission fees the same as those established for the summer session. b) c) Section 3. Adult Swimming Monday and Wednesday Sunday Monday through Friday 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. I Competitive Swimming Instruction See Summer Schedule above. Community Swimming Pool - Other Activities a) Rental to Groups One lifeguard required for groups of 15 participants or less, $20.00 per hour with minimum of three hours. Resolution Number ~? , Group of 16 to 60 participants, $30.00 per hour with minimum of three hours, and an additional $15.00 per hour for each increment of 35 participants, over the 60 participants. . b) SwiDDDing Meets ': No entry~will normally be made for swimming meets approved by the City 'Manager when the City does not provide awards. An entry fee may be made for meets at which City provides awards. I Section 4. CODDDunity SwiDDDing Pool - Use of Facilities by Commercial Users Should the pool become available for rental by commercial users providing instruction in SCUBA diving or similar instruction the City shall receive an amount equal to twenty percent (20%) of the gross receipts of said user, providing that in no case shall the fee be less than forty-five dollars ($45.00) per hour with a minimum of ninety dollars ($90.00). Section 5. Authority of City Manager The City Council directs and authorizes the City Manager to modify the time schedules of events and programs, within budgetary limits, as may be necessitated by needs which may arise from time to time, provided that such changes in time schedules shall not change the fees and charges established herein. Section 6. Resolution Number 3550 is hereby repealed.
