Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 3436 1984-12-10 RESOLUTION NUMBER ~~~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPDINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 19B5 I WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, January 29, 1985, has been called by Ordinance Number 1167, adopted on October 22, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section I. That for the purpose of holding the Special Municipal Election, there is established twenty-one (21) voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City of Seal Beach established for the holding of State and County elections, as the regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places designated; and that the persons named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of the City are appointed precinct board members for their respective voting precincts and they shall conduct the election in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons previously named as precinct board members is fixed at the sum of Forty dollars ($40.00) for each Inspector and Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for each Judge and Clerk for the election, The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for the election. I Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
