HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 3179 1982-06-28 I I I , RESOLUTION NUMBER B/79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING AN ENCUMBRANCE AGAINST THE CITY PARKS AND RECREATION FUND OF $138,298. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE: WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Seal Beach City Code, Section 21-32 to utilize Park and Recreation fees for the benefit of the residents of the subdivision from which the fees were derived; and WHEREAS, Presley of Southern California paid Park and Recreation subdivision fees to the City of Seal Beach in the amount of $138,298 on October 2, 1980, in satisfaction of the amount levied on the condominium tract developed in the Leisure World Community; and WHEREAS, the foregoing sum was placed in the City of Seal Beach Park and Recreation fund where it presently remains; and it is desirable to insure the foregoing sum be utilized only for the purpose intended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an encumbrance of $138,298 and any interest earned thereon be placed against the Park and Recreation Fund so as to restrict use of the foregoing sum to public park improvements within the Leisure World Community, until further action is taken by the City Council by resolution or ordinance approving the expenditure of such funds.
