Home My WebLink AboutCC Res 3211 1982-09-13 I I ~ , RESOLUTION NO. 9:1,/ J A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DEFINING MEMBERSHIP OF THE PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2461 of the City Council of the City of Seal Beach was enacted on July 28, 1975 and authorized the formation of a Project Area Committee; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2461 was not specific as to the number of members on the Project Area Committee, their qualifications and terms of office; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Seal Beach now finds it necessary to define membership of the Project Area Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: Section 1. The Project Area Committee shall consist of nine member-s. and shall be appointed by the City Council. The Project Area Committee shall be composed of representatives selected from the following groups within the Project Area: * Two businessperson, either owner-occupant or tenant. * Four residents, either owner-occupants or tenants. * Three menDerslof existing Qrganilzations .w;ilthin, the Project Area. Section 2. Those persons within the Project Area boundaries who are residential owner-occupants, residential tenants, business- persons and/or members of existing organizations shall be eligible to be members of the Project Area Committee only during the time they either reside, own property, operate businesses or are members of existing organizations within the.Project Area respectively. Section 3. The Project Area Committee members shall be appointed for two-year stagger.ed,terms. Shoul d..a. vacancy.-or. resignation occur .on the P.roject Area Committee by reason of death, resignation, moving from the Project Area or otherwise, the Council shall appoint another member from the membership category in which the vacancy occurred.
