As of Friday, January 27, 2023, we have $85,595.90 left in our budget, however, the City is requesting a second inspector in addition to Duane Neyens for the remaining weeks to supplement with nighttime/shift inspection for the 364B project for the OC San project (project). Additionally, once paving starts on the project, nighttime work may go beyond eight (8) hours into overtime, as paving will likely extend well past 2:30 am. Other nighttime work may include the Edison work for the project, which would also push the nighttime inspector into overtime. Our proposed nighttime inspector is James DeMonaco who will commence work on February 13, 2023 and has been providing other 2"d inspector needs for the City already. Considering the above, NV5 is requesting a budget extension through July 1, 2023 as follows: Item First Inspector 22 Weeks to July 1, 2022, PW Second Inspector 19 Weeks Feb 13 thru July 1, 2023, PW Allowance for Overtime Hours (Overtime Rates Apply) ODCs Remaining Budget Extension to July 1, 2023 Estimated Fee Hours 880 $ 121,440.00 760 $ 104,880.00 262 $ 54,234.00 $ 5,000.00 $ (85,595.00) $ 199,959.00 If you need further information, we may be reached by phone at (951) 377-1566, or electronically at luanne.bean@nv5.com and jeff.cooper@nv5.com. Ms. Bean oversaw the construction management and inspection services for the construction of the Bankfield Sewer Pump Station adjacent to the Caltrans Right -of -Way. The new pump station receives diverted flows from two existing pump stations, and diverted flows from two more pump stations at a later date. The new pump station has a 10 -foot -by -20 -foot sewer wet well that is 35 feet deep, constructed in groundwater with a discharge permit to the City of L.A. Sewer Interceptor since the water was contaminated and RWQCB would not issue a permit to discharge to storm drain. There are two submersible pumps, a flow meter vault, a valve vault, a bypass vault for the two force mains, an emergency diesel -fueled backup electrical generator, and complete SCADA systems. NV5 assisted with the final design and implementation of the emergency diesel generator as well as pipeline redesign for the sewer force main, including the AQMD permitting, as the original plans did not accommodate a generator. There is also a 25 -foot - by -20 -foot building to house instrumentation and SCADA systems, a bathroom and electrical components.
