I live down the street from you, at 4260 Candleberry Avenue. Unfortunately I don't have photos to share but I can assure you that every time it rains hard, the street in front of our house is completely underwater. Years ago, I left my house to go to work in the early morning when it was dark and when I got to the intersection of Candleberry and Aster, my car was submerged and I ended up totaling the vehicle. Even after some improvements were made in the last few years to the storm drain at Candleberry and Aster, the water is so deep that it is impassable in a car. ln February, I recognized that area in Channel 4 news coverage of the flooding in Seal Beach where a mini van had been disabled. Now that I am retired, I have the luxury of waiting it out in my house until the water recedes but others aren't as fortunate. I have made several improvements to the drainage in my backyard which have prevented water from seeping into my family room as it had in the past, but the front yard still floods during heavy rainstorms. I hope that these comments are helpful in trying to resolve this bad situation Sincerely, Michael Payton Michael Payton < michael.payton@mac.com> Tuesday, March 19, 2A24 4:26 PM Schelly Sustarsic Flooding lssues 1
