ORDINANCE NUMBER 1'02~
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, IMPOSING A NON-REFUNDABLE
TURN-ON FEE TO ESTABLISH WATER UTILITY
SERVICE FOR NEW PATRONS, DELETING THE
EXISTING REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT,
AND AMENDING THE SEAL BEACH MUNICIPAL
COOE
III THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH OOES HEREBY OROAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 26-1 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Before water shall be supplied to any person or for any premises
from the mains of the Water Department, the owner thereof shall
make application for same on such fonm as may be provided by
the Superintendent of the Water Department for that purpose.
Each application for water service shall be accompanied by a
non-refundable turn-on fee of $15.00 to cover the cost of
establishing the account and commencing service.
Section 2. Section 26-16.1 of the Seal Beach Municipal Code. authorizing
a refundable security deposit prior to the commencement of
water service. is hereby deleted in its entirety.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance
and cause the same to be published as required by law and the
same shall take effect as provided by law.
