Chapter 9B. Section 9B-1 of the Code of the City of Seal Beach is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 9B-1. Method Used to Analyze Flood Hazards. Se1ect,on of a regulatory flood which is based upon engineering calculations which permit a consideration of such flood factors as its expected frequency of occurrence. the area in- undated, and the depth of inundation. The regulatory flood selected for this ordinance is representative of large floods known to have occurred in this region and which are reasonably characteristic of what can be expected to occur on the particular streams subject to this ordinance. It is in the general order of a flood which could be expected to occur on the average once every 100 years or has a one per- cent (1%) chance of occurrence in anyone year, or as delineated in the Federal Insurance Administration's Flood Insurance Study, and illustrative materials (F.I.R.M.) dated August 28, 1984. as amended.
