Subject:Main Street outdoor use
Hello, my name is Ashley Fallon I work at Even More Salon with owner Renee Durslag at 113 1/2 main st. I just wanted to
remind everyone about how much the parklets affected our business in a negative way. If there is any voting for
additional dining on the sidewalks or street, I ask that you prohibit any parking space to be utilized for dining tables and
chairs. In addition I ask that if there are any businesses permitted to add dining on the sidewalk, they only use the space
directly in front of their business and don’t encroach on the storefronts that neighbor them.
Our business also still suffers from the meter lot between main st and 10th st. on the 100 block not allowing to add
more time after the initial 2 hours. We have many clients that are here for more than 2 hours they need 3 to 4 hours for
their hair colors and highlights with haircuts. When you took the parklets away, you also took away the option to add
time to the meter lot. Please change this back as soon as possible. At the very least please address this problem or any
plans to change the length of time in this lot in the future. I would appreciate an email replying back to me, in regards to
the meter parking plans. My clients are continually asking when the city will be changing the meter lot back to the
original option of adding time. This will alleviate the problem of needing to move their car during their hair service.
Thank you! I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Ashley Fallon
