Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 1120 1982-06-14 ORDINANCE NUMBER _ / ht.O AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 3-10.14 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, ENTITLED "FEES FOR IMPOUNDING." I THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 3, ~rticle III, Section 3-10.14 of the Code of the City City of Seal Beach, California is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 3-10,14. Fees for Impounding." The animal control officer,shall charge, receive and collect the greater of the followjng fees for services and impounding animals: A. For Animals Impounded at the Shelter: 1, Impound Fees: Minimum a. Large animal (horse, cow, etc.) actual cost or $ 40.00 b. Medium animal (pig, sheep, etc.) actual cost or 30,00 c. Dog, cat or other small animal actual cost or 25.00 Animals that are impounded more than once within a I twelve (12) month period will be charged above fees plus fifty percent (50%) of prior impounding charges. 2. Placement Fees: Minimum a, Dog $ 13.00 b, Cat 8.00 c. Other animal subject to placement Market Value 3. Daily Care and Feed (Minimum of One Day Charge): a. Large animal (horse, cow, etc.) $ 6,50 b. Medium animal (pig, sheep, etc.) 4.00 c. Dog or cat 3,50 d. Other small animal Actual Cost 4. Veterinary Services: Minimu~ a. Vaccination against rabies $ 5,00 b. Relative value unit (for medical services) 6.00 per RVU c. Other procedures (X-rays, shots, I lab) At cost d. Medical or surgical care, per treatment, performed by private veterinarian, flat rate 20.00 5. Miscellaneous Services a. Euthanasia, upon request of owner Free The Director may charge the owner or custodian for veterinary care rendered to impoundeo anllllillS dllU such charges shall constitute a lien on said animals.
