SEAL BEACH RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION
The Seal Beach Recreation and Parks Commission met in regular session in the Council
Chamoers on Tuesday, February 8, 1977. The meeting was called to order by Chairman
Harding at 7:35 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of January 4, 1977 were approved as written.
ORAL COlU1UNICATIONS
There were no oral communications.
I~RITTEN COfll/AlINICATIONS
A. The C.A.P.R.C.B.M. Newsletter was received and filed.
B. Letter to Chairperson Harding. A letter was read from the Soroptimist Interna-
tional of Los Alamitos-Rossmoor requesting consideration for a waiver of fees for
use of the North Seal Beach Community Center for a charity fundraising event. After
some discussion, a motion was made by Torem, second by Case and unanimously approved,
to recommend that City Council honor the request and waive fees for the Soroptimist
Club functt.on.
OLD BUSINESS
Tour of facilities will take place after the Naval Weaspons Station is contacted.
NE~J BUSINESS
A. Proposition #2 - Grant Resolution. The proposed Priority Plan of Expenditures
for Proposition #2 Bond Money, as prepared by the County of Orange, was presented
for Commission review. A motion was made by Torem, second by Case and unanimously
approved, to recommend that City Council approve the priority plan by resolution.
A motion was also made by Torem, second by Case and unanimously approved, to direct
a letter to Congressman Hannaford indicating the COmmission's support on his effort
to secure a beach erosion study for the City of Seal Beach. The motion also
stipulated that a memorandum should be sent to City Council indicating that the
Commission would support any stand taken by the Council.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at 8:40 p.m.
