SEAL BEACH RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION The Seal Beach Recreation and Parks Commission met in regular session on Tuesda;y, October 7, 1975 , in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ps;yne at 8:00 p.m. and was adjourned to the City Manager's conference roam. OF MINUTES The minutes 01' September 2, 1975 were approved as written. ..:-.:.... .". , . ORAL COMMUNICATIONS There were no oral communications. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS There were no written communications. OLD BUSINESS A. Skateboard Area - Edison Park - was discussed. Information was given with relation to injuries directly related to skateboards as provided by Consumer Products Sa:f'ety Commission, Community Services Division. Torem suggested that further information on injuries be obtained if' possible through the Orange and Los Angeles County Medical Associations. Torem moved, Case second for Secretary to secure ruling from City Attorney regarding liability on possible sanctioned and unsanctioned skateboard facility. It was unanimous~v approved. NEW BUSINESS A. First Street Beach Development. Sketches 01' possible development for the First Street Beach area were presented to Commissioners for comments. Considerable discussion followed with relation to proposed uses. Chairman Payne requested the Secretary to provide brief working drawings so that each commissioner might add comments prior to the next regular meeting. B. Senior Citizen Flu Immunization Clinics. General information was provided to Commissioners regarding Recreation Department involvement and immunization clinics. Commission was in favor 01' this type 01' involvement in the fUture. General program discussion and interaction followed. '.
