SEAL BEACH RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION

The Seal Beach Recreation and Parks Commission met in Special Session on
Wednesday, March 24, 1993, in City Council Chambers. The meeting was called to
order by Chairman Thomas at 1:30 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

SPECIAL AGENDA ITEM - FOUNDERS' DAY
Commissioner Whyte distributed a packet and explained her proposal. The
Commissioners asked questions and discussed this item at length.
Whyte moved, Davies second, to accept from City Council the responsibility of
pr8paring a Founders' Day proposal to send to City Council. It was unanimously
approved.
Whyte moved, Davies second, to reorganize the Commissioners to form the Founders'
Day Committee and adopt the proposal in theory. It was unanimously approved.
Commissioner Williams moved, Davies second, to nominate Dorothy Whyte as
Chairwoman of the Founders' Day Committee. It was unanimously approved.
Commissioner Davies volunteered to be the Committee Secretary.
~ Commissioner Finch volunteered to be the Committee Treasurer.
Commissioner Williams volunteered to the Committee Historian.
Commissioner Thomas . . . will be in charge of the Volunteers.
Davies, moved, Williams second to adjourn the meeting at 9 p.m.
