SEAL BEACH RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION
The Seal Beach Recreation and Parks Commission met in regular session on
Wednesday, January 23, 1991 in City Council Chambers. The meeting was called
to order at 7:36 p.m. by Chairman Petersen and the Pledge of Allegiance was
given.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of November 28, 1990 were approved as written.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
There were no Oral Communications.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Two letters from College Park East residents regarding new equipment at Heather
Park were read. No Commission action was required.
Correspondence regarding College Park (AFRCl was read. See NEW BUSINESS for
details.
OLD BUSINESS
Osteen reported on installation of new equipment at Heather Park. No
Commission action required.
NEW BUSINESS
Bixby Development was discussed. No Commission action was taken.
College Park (AFRCl. The possibility that the land on which College Park is
located may be declared surplus by the Federal Government was discussed.
On a motion by Procter, second by Thomas, it was recommended that City Council
conduct a public hearing to inform the citizens of the events that have taken
place to date regarding College Park. It was further recommended that the
hearing be conducted as soon as possible in order to secure public input prior
to further action by the military or the City of Los Alamitos. The motion was
unanimously approved.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Thomas, second by Finch, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
