SEAL BEACH RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION

The Seal Beach Recreation and Parks Commission met in regular session on Wednesday,
August 26, 1987, in City Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by
Chairman Weiler at 7:35 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was given.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of April 29, 1987. were approved as written.
OLD BUSINESS
Edison Park Parking Fees were discussed. No Commission action was taken.
The Department of Water and Power property was discussed. No Commission action
was taken.
NEW BUSINESS
The A.F.R.C. park dedication was discussed. No Commission action was taken.
The Park and Recreation Fee Account was discussed. No Commission action was taken.
The Mola Project was covered in detail. After a lengthy deliberation, the Commission
unanimously approved two motions to be sent to City Council. The motions read as
follows:

Motion 1
The Recreation Commission recommends that Quimby recreation land
or fee dedication requirements not be credited for the golf course
development.
Motion 2
The Recreation Commission recommends that 7.9 acres of land, or
fees in lieu of, be dedicated to the City for recreation purposes.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Procter, second, by Commissioner Reilly, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
