SEAL BEACH RECREATION, PARKS AND BEACHES COMMISSION
The Seal Beach Recreation, PclI'ks and Beaches CO!IUDission met in regular session on
Tuesday, January 2, 1973, in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Torem at 7:35 p.m. and the Pledge of
Allegiance was given.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of December 5, 1972 were approved as written.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
There were no oral communications.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
There were no written communications.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Commission By-Laws.
Commissioner Harding.
Payne reported on the Dec. 15 meeting with Osteen and

2. Fees and Charges - Community Center Buildings. Ordinance 1697 was discussed.
Harding moved, Dreyer second to inform City Manager that Commission had reviewed
Mr. Flood's request for a reduction in rental fees for the use of No. Seal Beach
Community Center and there will be no changes made at this time. There will be
further investigation and study of Ordinance 1697 and possible changes made in the
future. I

NOES: None Motion carried.
3. Shapell Park Equipment Relocation. Osteen reported the plan would be ready
soon for Commission approval and a Special Meeting would be called.
NEW BUSINESS
Sanada gave a sports progress report.
ADJOURNMENT
Payne moved, Case second to adjourn the meeting at 8:35 p.m. It was unanimously
approved.
