SEAL BEAClI PARK AND RECREATION COM!olISSION
~ TIle Seal Belich Park and Recreation Commission met in regular session on Tuesday,
January 4, 1972, in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building. The
~eeting was called to order by Chairman Torem at 7:45 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance
was given.

Absent: Herrera, Krcdell
APPROVAL OF HINUTES
Dreyer moved, Iseda second to approve the minutes of December 7, 1971 as corrected.

OLD BUSINESS
1. Bicycle Trails System. Osteen opened discussion and introduced Ed Wood of the
Seal Beach Engineering Department who elaborated on possible changes to Seal Beach
Blvd. and gave information regarding freeway on-ramp and bridge jurisdictions as
they might affect the Bicycle Trails System.

Iseda moved, Dreyer second to conduct a Special Meeting within sixty (60) days to
discuss all facets of Bicycle Trails System with representatives from the Police,
Engineering and Planning Departments. It was unanimously approved.
2. Dreyer reported on Senior Citizens Filr.1.
3. Osteen elaborated on Gum Grove and Edison Park developments. Discussion followed.

Commission directed Osteen to draft letter to Kids' Baseball Association requesting
commitment as previously made on possible financial and labor assistance for ball

Dreyer reported on I~ite House Conference on Ageing.
ADJOURNMENT
Iseda moved, Dreyer second to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
