The Seal Beach Park and Recreation Commission held a regular adjourned meeting on
Tuesday, October 12, 1971 in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building.
Chairman Dreyer called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. and led the Pledge of
Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
Present: Dreyer, Herrera, Iseda, Kredell, Torem
Absent: None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Torem moved, Herrera secon!l to approve the minutes of September 7, 1971 as written.
AYES: Dreyer, Herrera, Iseda, Kredell, Torem

Therc were no written communications.
OLD BUSINESS
I. Osteen reported on the Orange County Board of Supervisors' Public Hearing on
the Bicyclc Path September 29. Discussion followed. The commissioners requested
Osteen to try to secure copies of the studies.
2. Dreyer reported on his progress regarding the Senior Citizen Gol4 Card. Item
was tabled until next meeting.
3. Election of New Officers: Torem was unanimously elected Chairman and Iseda was

unanimously elected Vice-Chairman.
NEI~ BUSINESS
1. Iseda requested information on the status of Bluebell Park and the park at Lampson
e and Heather. Osteen reported on his meeting with City ~lanager.
2. Kredell requested information regarding the eel grass problem. Osteen reported
on the Orange County Flood Control study. It was suggested that this item be
placed on the next agenda, as the commissioners would like an updated report regard-

ing the progress on a solution to the problem, by the Orange County Flood Control,
the City Engineering Department, and the Environmental Quality Control Board.
3. Dreyer reported on a film involving the Senior Citizen and a child on a one-to-
one basis. Discussion followed. Iseda moved, second by Dreyer to secure the film.

4. Kredell requested that the commissioners be given three-ring binders for their
papers.
