The Seal Beach Park and Recreation Commission met in regular session on Tuesday,
September 7, 1971 in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building. The meeting
was called to order by Vice-Chairman Kredell at 7:45 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance
was given.

Absent: None
APPROVAL OF ~!INUTES
Torem moved, Herrera second, to approve the minutes of August 3, 1971 as written.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
There were no oral communications.
WRITTEN COW~NICATIONS
There were no written co~unications.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Baseball and Football Fields. Osteen reported that the authorities at the
Naval l'leapons Station had indicated that there ,I~ere no parcels available. He also
reported North American-Rockwell properties were not for lease but for sale. only
and that he Nould he receiving plans indicating t~lich parcels were av~ilable.
2. Osteen reported on the Orange Count)' Hearing regarding bicycle paths.
3. Election of Nel~ Officers. Herrera moved, Iseda second, to table the election
of new officers until the City Council has made an appointment to fill the vacent
seat.

NEW BUSINESS
~ Iseda initiated a discussion regarding the'Adult Slo-Pitch League.
Dreyer reported on the Senior Citizen Gold Card used in Long Beach and the
symphony orchestra concerts to be held at Oakwood and Long Beach City College.
