~ The Seal Beach Park and Recreation Commission met in regular session on Tuesday,
August 3, 1971 in the Council Chambers, City Administration Building. The meeting
was called to order hy Chairman Dreyer at 7:35 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance
was given.
ROLL CALL
Present: Dreyer, Herrera, Torem
Absent: Iseda, Kredell
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Herrera Moved, Toren second, to approve the minutes of June 1 and July 13, 1971.

There were no written communications.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Osteen reported on the availability of land for baseball and football fields.
Mrs. Bolton, 1701 Bayou Way, informed the commissioners that the parent group
would assist in any way necessary to secure additional facilities.
2. Torem read an article from the L.A. Times regarding the Orange County Board
of Supervisors' proposal of a 300-mile, County-wide network of bicycle paths. It
was suggested that a representative be present at the Orange County Planning Commis-
sion hearing August 10 when the Board will present its proposal.
NEW BUSINESS
Commissioner Dreyer reported on the progress of symphony program.

Commissioner Toren requested information on vacant commission scat and election
of officers. Osteen reported information should be available by next regular
commission meeting.
