SEAL BEACH CABLE COMMUNICATIONS FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES FOR JANUARY l7, 1994 The Board of directors for the Seal Beach Cable Communications Foundation met January l7, 1994 at the Mary Wilson Library in Seal Beach, California. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE There was no pledge of allegiance. ROLL CALL Mr. palmer, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Clow, Mr. Rowland and Mr. Mueller were present. CONSENT CALENDAR REVIEW OF MINUTES FROM DECEMBER 20, 1993 Mrs. Dahlin moved the minutes of December be accepted and filed. Mr. Mueller seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Palmer, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Clow, Mr. Mueller, Mr. Rowland NAYES: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 FINANCIAL REPORT After review of the financial report, Mrs. Dahlin moved the acceptance thereof and Mr. Clow seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Clow, Mr. Palmer, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Rowland, Mr. Palmer NAYES: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 CHECK REQUEST Mr. Clow moved that the check request be accepted and filed and Mrs. Dahlin seconded the motion. AYES: Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Rowland, Mr. Clow, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Mueller NAYES: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 . . . ..~ pg. 2 SBCCF 1/17/94 ACCESS FEE FOR ROBIN FORT-LINCKE AND RUSSELL TAYLOR Mr. Clow made the motion to allocate the $35.00 to Robin Fort- Lincke and Russell Taylor for their public access program. Mrs. Dahlin seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Palmer, Mr. Clow, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Mueller, Mr. Rowland NAYS: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 OLD BUSINESS EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE Mr. Clow motioned to have Don Anderson perform routine maintenance twice a year with the understanding the cost will not exceed $200.00 and will be payable to Mr. Don Anderson, beginning March 1994. Mrs. Dahlin seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Mueller, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Clow, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Rowland NAYES: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 TAPE RETENTION It was suggested to table the discussion on tape retention of the Government meetings until the next Foundation meeting. AUDIENCE COMMUNICATION * There is no communication at this time. NEW BUSINESS PUBLIC ACCESS COVERAGE OF THE POLITICAL DEBATE Mr. Mueller motioned not to videotape the March 8th candidates forum sponsored by the League of Women voters. After some discussion, several of the Board members did not like the idea of being involved in a political situation, since they are political appointees. Mrs. Dahlin seconded the motion. RE-RUNNING OLD CHRISTMAS PARADE TAPES It was suggested to re-run the Christmas Parade show again in July. REPORTS Ms. Kreps discussed the upcoming public access classes and quarterly plans. Mr. Mueller motioned to videotape the soccer game on February 11th instead of Seal Beach in Review. Mr. Rowland seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Rowland, Mrs. Dahlin, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Mueller, Mr. Clow NAYES: -0- MOTION PASSED: 5-0 BOARD COMMUNICATIONS * There are no communications at this time. ADJOURNMENT Mrs. Dahlin moved the meeting be adjourned at 8:30 pm. Mr. Rowland seconded the motion.
