• All special event permit applications are reviewed by all departments to assess safety and impact
• The special applicant is responsible for the cost of the services provided in support of their event
(exception City Co -Sponsored Special Events)
• Special events take place in all areas of town including the beach, Main Street, shopping centers, parks
and private property

Special events are known to bring visitors and generally
support economic development. They also bring impacts to
the overall community with traffic, noise and crowding.
SMART Option - Is the City Council content with the current
existing special event schedule or would the Council be
open to expanding the schedule by growing existing special
events or adding new events.
