Subject:Environmental Review for Proposed Solar Farm
Good Afternoon,
This is a request for the Seal Beach City Council to consider the importance of requiring a detailed
Environmental Impact Report for the proposed solar project adjacent to the Los Cerritos Wetlands restoration
that has recently begun. I am a strong supporter of solar energy and its role to transition us away from fossil
fuels, but I am also concerned about the local environment and potential impacts of the solar panels on the
wildlife that will soon be inhabiting the restored wetlands. I trust that the City Council will make the right
decision, but in order to do that you need all of the available data to weigh all of the pros and cons.
Thank you for your understanding and support for the wetlands restoration.
