Dear Shaun -
I'm a resident of Seal Beach, and concerned about the proposed solar project. My
understanding is that it is going to be placed next to an extremely sensitive ecological
area.
The wetlands are important to the region, not just to Seal Beach. The vast majority of
Southern California wetlands have been lost forever to development and infrastructure,
so it is essential that we not only protect, but also improve, our remaining wetlands.
Requiring a full EIR so we can understand the project's impacts is the least the City
Council can do.
