Landau, There are numerous reasons to do an EIR before putting all those panels on the Los Cerritos Wetlands. It seems like a poor idea to put 56 solar table structure, 3,100 solar panels on 4.66 acres surrounded by wetlands and adjacent to Hellman Ranch Trail. The area is very sensitive. There has to be a better place for all those solar panels. It seems a good place would be on rooftops or areas that are already paved like parking lots. Of great concern are the grading, the 388 piles that would be driven into the ground 6 feet. The groundwater occurs at 4 feet and the potential for contamination are great. I am especially concerned about the failure of the MND to analyze and protect the site as a Acjachemem and Gabrielino Tongva Tribal Cultural site recognized by the California Coastal Commission and the Native American Heritage Commission. It is a part of the Puvungna village site. During the building of the Heritage Point Homes adjacent to this project ancestor human remains were uncovered. The project was stopped by the Coastal Commission and 4 less homes were built. This is just one of the reasons for caution moving forward with this ill conceived project. This project will have a significant impact on the environment. It needs the preparation and certification of an EIR not MND. Thank you, Rebecca Robles Acjachemen Culture Bearer
