I am a Seal Beach resident at 208 2nd Street. $37.85 million has been invested in grants for the Los Cerritos Wetlands Restoration Project. Huge efforts to restore the wetlands for the native habitat need to be respected, as wetlands loss along the southern California coast has had devastating effects on our ecosystem and the coastal resilience to manage sea level rising. With sea level rising, the wetlands elevation is hazardous to the longevity of the Solar PV Electrical System Project. I totally support solar projects, but the project should be in an area safer for the solar project and safer for the habitat of the Los Cerritos Wetlands. I volunteer under Melissa Borde, the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve Manager and California Department of Fish and Wildlife scientist and have learned how sensitive the many species of birds are who depend on the wetlands habitat. I am concerned about the reflective quality disrupting the bird population and the need to respect the tribal lands. Please consider a safer location for the solar PV Electrical System Project. Thank you, Rheo McColl
