HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Res 7737 2026-2-23 RESOLUTION 7737 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT 3 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH YUNEX, LLC FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES WHEREAS, on May 13, 2019, City Council adopted Resolution 6915 approving a three (3) year Professional Services Agreement (Agreement) with Yunex, LLC (Yunex) (previously known as Siemens Mobility, Inc.) to provide traffic signal maintenance services for an annual amount of $75,000, or $225,000 for the three-year term, and authorizing the City Manager to extend the Agreement for up to two additional one-year extensions; and, WHEREAS, after approval of the Agreement, the City exercised the Agreement's two (2) allowable one-year extensions and thereby extending the term to May 13, 2024; and, WHEREAS, on May 13, 2024, City Council adopted Resolution 7515 approving Amendment 1 to the Agreement to extend the term through June 30, 2025, and increasing the total not-to-exceed contract amount to $460,000; and, WHEREAS, on July 28, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution 7673 approving Amendment 2 to the Agreement to extend the term through June 30, 2026, and increasing the total not-to-exceed contract amount to $550,000; and, WHEREAS, City desires to further amend the Agreement to increase the compensation by $55,000 through June 30, 2026, and a revised total not-to-exceed contract amount of $605,000. NOW, THEREFORE, the Seal Beach City Council does resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: Section 1. The City Council hereby approves Amendment 3 to the Professional Services Agreement dated May 13, 2019, as previously amended by Amendment 1 dated May 13, 2024, and Amendment 2 dated July 28, 2025, increasing the compensation by $55,000 through June 30, 2026, and a revised total not-to-exceed contract amount of $605,000. Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute Amendment 3.
