Dear Interim Community Development Director,
California has lost more than 90% of its historical wetlands and now, many of the remaining wetlands are
afflicted by pollution and encroachment. You are in charge of protecting and preserving this cherished
habitat. It is not only a home for wildlife, it is a sanctuary for enjoying nature.
Putting in solar panels means complete destruction of the precious habitat at the installation site. It is no
better than putting in a parking lot. It is NOT environmentally friendly.
I am all for solar energy, but not here for God’s sake! Solar panels belong on rooftops and parking lots,
not in place of treasured wildlife habitats.
