On the 14th day of June, 1976, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, the City COlmcil of the City of Seal Beach on its own motion initiated proceedings for the annexation of certain uninhabited territory designated as "City of Seal Beach Annexation No. 76-1" to the City of Seal Beach, Section 2. On the 26th day of October, 1976, the City Council adopted Ordinance Number 1001 approving and ordaining the Annexation of said uninhabited territory designated "City of Seal Beach Annexation No. 76-1" to the City of Seal Beach. Section 3. The City Council finds that the territory designated "City of Seal Beach Annexation No. 76-1" is contiguous to Councilmanic District No. 1 and that the said entire territory should be within Councilmanic District No.1. I Section 4. Section 2-70 of Article IX of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Seal Beach, California, is hereby amended by amending the Boundary of Councilmanic District No. 1 to read as follows: '. COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO. 1 In the City of Seal Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: I Beginning at point of intersection of the Los Angeles/ Orange County boundary line with the southwesterly line of a parcel recorded as Parcel ~hp 32-16; thence southeasterly along said parcel line to a point of intersection with the northwesterly boundary line of Rancho Los Alamitos; thence southwesterly along said Rancho line to a point of intersection with the centerline of ~hrina Drive; thence southeasterly and easterly along said centerline to a point of intersection with the centerline of the Pacific Electric Right-of-Way; thence southeasterly along the centerline of said Right-of-Way to a point of intersection with the centerline of Eighth Street; thence northerly along said centerline to a point of intersection with the centerline of Pacific Coast Highway (State Highway Route 1); thence southeasterly along the centerline of Pacific Coast Highway to a point of intersection with the city boundary; thence southeasterly along said boundary line to the northwesterly corner of Annexation 67-1; thence easterly, southerly, southeasterly, southwesterly, northwesterly, southwesterly, southeasterly, northwesterly, southeasterly, easterly, southwesterly, along the boundary line of Annexation 67-1 to the southeasterly corner of said annexation; thence three miles southwesterly along the boundary line of Annexation 76-1, thence northwesterly along . Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ord1nance by the City Council of the City of Seal Beach and shall cause the same to be published as required by law.
