A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RAISING INCOME
FOR MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:

City of Seal Beach and hereby provides funding for
said Program in the amount of $40,000 effective
January 1, 1980.
The City Manager is hereby directed to provide a
salary schedule reflecting the salary changes which
shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk as
"Exhibit A" to this resolution no later than
February 1, 1980.

EXHIBIT A
Section A. The salary schedule as shown in Section F attached hereto and made
a part hereof for each salary range and/or hourly rate of pay shall constitute
the basic compensation and pay plan for management personnel. The pay plan consists
of five steps or rates of pay in each salary range for full-time or other positions,
and hourly rates for certain unclassified positions, both specified in Section F.
The respective ranges are identified by number and the salary steps within each
range by the letters "A" to "E" inclusive. The columnar headings at the top of
each column establish the minimum length of service required for advancement to the
next higher salary step. The salary schedule hereinafter shown is based on a
regular weekly work schedule for forty (40) hours. The equivalent hourly rate for
a forty (40) hour per week position may be computed by dividing the monthly rate
by 173.3.
Section B. Department heads salaries are listed at top step only. Authority to
compensate at a lower monthly salary shall be vested with the City Manager.
Section C. Automobile and Mileage.
Officers and employees of the city, utilizing their privately-owned automobiles
for city business on a non-regular basis, shall be entitled to reimbursement for
costs incurred at the rate of twenty cents (20t) per mile.
Section D. All benefits and working conditions contained in previous Memoranda
of Understanding between the City of Seal Beach and the Seal Beach Employees
Association shall apply to all non-safety position classifications contained in
this resolution. All benefits and working conditions contained in previous
Memoranda of Understanding between the City of Seal Beach and the Seal Beach Police
Officers Association and Seal Beach Firefighters Association shall apply to all
safety personnel listed in this resolution except as otherwise preempted by the
Ci ty Charter.
Section E. Limitations.
Part-time, hourly, seasonal, and/or provisional employees, volunteer firemen,
reserve police personnel, and any city employee who is not employed on a continuous
full-time basis shall not be eligible for benefits stated in this resolution. No
employee who is eligible to receive workmen's compensation insurance payments is
eligible to receive overlapping benefits (except life insurance) stated in this
resolution. City shall not make any monthly payments for premiums for any insurance
benefit listed in this resolution, or for uniform allowances, supplemental pay of
any type, and/or any type of bonus on behalf of or to any employee who has been
absent without authorization during said month or for any employee who has terminated
for any reason whatsoever or who is on leave of absence without payor who is
suspended from duties without pay.
Section F. The following salaries shall become effective January 2, 1980:
