RESOLUTION NUMBER "'998 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, A CHARTER CITY, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A CITY MEASURE. a Special Municipal Election is to be held in the City of Seal Beach, California, on November 4, 1980, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City the following measure: "Shall the Ordinance authorizing the Seal Beach City Council to levy a Special Safety Service Tax (POlice and Fire) annually for the next four years to preserve current Police, Fire and Paramedic service levels and collectible from residential, commercial and vacant real property owners in the City be adopted by the City Council as Municipal Ordinance Number 1087; and shall the proceeds of such tax (estimated as follows: 1981/82 - $760,729; 1982/83 - $1,046,770; 1983/84 - $1,373,582; and 1984/85 - $1,735,348) be added each year to the City's legal spending limit as established by Article XIII-B of the California Constitution?" NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL 8EACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City of Seal Beach, hereby authorizes Ronald A. Krede11 Frank J. Laszlo Kent Seitz Wi11emke Vanderstaay George H. Supple members of said body, to file a written argument for or against a City ballot measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said argument until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted.
