A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING JAMES BARRETT
FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH.
James Barrett served as a member of the Civil Service Board of the
City of Seal Beach from July 1973 to August 1979; and
James Barrett was elected to and served as Chairman of the Civil
Service Board from December 1978 to August 1979; and
by being the Chairman of a board whose function is to preside over
the personnel matters including employment lists, equal employment
standards, grivance arbitration, maintenance of the integrity of the
Civil Service merit system and to provide guidance to the administra-
tive staff in making proper decisions affecting City personnel; and,
by helping to make proper decisions on personnel matters for the
City of Seal Beach, James Barrett is to be commended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Seal Beach,
California, does hereby commend
JAMES BARRETT
for his service on the Civil Service Board of the City of Seal Beach.
