Home My WebLink AboutCC Ord 922 1973-12-10 " I I I " ORDINANCE NUMBER 9=<..:< AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 7-44, CHAPTER SEVEN, OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY CODE RELATING TO "SICK LEAVE." THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 7~44, Chapter Seven of the Seal Beach City Code, shall be amended to read as follows: Section 7-44. Employees in positions or classes of positions designa ed y resolution of the City Council as performing services four days per week (ten hours per day) or five days per week (eight hours per day), shall be allowed to accumulate sick leave as follows: Sick leave for miscellaneous employees shall be accumulated at the rate of eight (8) hours or ten (10) hours per month, whichever reflects the actual time duration an employee works per day without limit; sick leave for employees who are members of the Seal Beach Firefighters As- sociation shall be accumulated at a rate of twenty-four (24) hours per month without limit; sick leave for employees who are members of the Seal Beach Police Officers Association shall be accumulated at a rate of ten (10) hours per month without limit. Sick leave shall be charged at the rate of one (1) day for each work day an employee is absent on sick leave; provided the absences of one- half (~) day or less shall be charged at the rate of no less than two (2) hours against the employee's total. Section 2. Effective date. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption by the City Council. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be posted as required by law.
